Branding - And How a VA Can Help

Virtual Assistant Lauren Pibworth, who owns Pibworth Professional Solutions has worked extensively assisting clients incorporate their brands consistently in marketing outreach.
“I think the perception you want to display is what you want to be, not necessarily what you are at the moment,” she says. “A lot of the companies I deal with have an existing brand architecture. My job is to communicate it."

“I design multimedia presentations for use in anything from corporate environments, trade shows and on-the-road selling environments, as well as all the necessary materials that go with them,” she explains. Her complementary products could be training manuals, customer feedback forms, notepads for the table and attendee name tags, for example. “Every piece of paper in the room will reflect the corporate brand.”
This attention to detail is vital in creating a cohesive professional image, she adds.

“Everything from how quickly you answer the phone, how you respond to client requests, to whether you miss meetings, to whether there’s a misspelling in an email – it all reflects the customer perception of who you are,” Pibworth says. “Because you want to leave the impression you are a well-oiled machine that can take care of every problem they could ever imagine.”

Outsourcing Is In

Lauren Pibworth, who started Pibworth Professional Solutions, belongs to a virtual assistant organization with more than 2,000 members. The industry started really taking off in 2005, she says.

“By outsourcing the tasks that need specialized skills, such as multi-media presentations and event planning, you cut your costs,” says the veteran administrator who brings her employment experience in advertising agencies with her. “I do work with many small business owners who find the high costs of full-time employees more than they are able to accommodate, but they do appreciate the value of having an extra hand when it is needed.

“I offer entrepreneurs the best of both worlds, big business results within their small business budgets.”

Like many others, Pibworth was tired of commuting. Her job search directed her to self-employment.

“Several of the companies I interviewed with when I was job searching have hired me to do outsourced project,” she says happily. “It’s a win-win situation.”
